Thrifty Thursday: Hot grocery deals this week

Since I started my $40 weekly grocery budget, I have been VERY conscientious about looking at the ads each week. The past couple of weeks have been a bit disappointing, but this week, is an exciting week. Here are a few of the highlights.

Lots of 10/$10 items including veggies (you don’t have to buy 10 items to get them for $1 each….they will ring up at $1 individually) – I love 10/$10 sales because I usually have some coupons that will match up giving me FREE stuff!

The following fresh fruits and veggies are 10/$10:
Ripe Jumbo Hass Avocados, Jumbo Mangos, Jumbo Texas Grapefruit, Organic Mini Peeled Carrots, Broccoli Crowns, and Seedless Cucumbers

These items are also 10/$10 with great coupon match-ups!

Okay, did I read it correctly? Is your Kroger’s tripling coupons? If so, where do you shop??
    Julie @KingdomKlipper

  2. I live in Texas and yes, our Kroger stores double up to 3 like coupons with a face value up to .50 and triple up to 3 like coupons with a face value up to .39. It’s great!

  3. I have a Walgreens question. I just checked two catalina’s i had from the dimeatap deal and they expired yesterday, is there anything I can do?

    p.s. I am marci’s friend

  4. Some stores will accept expired coupons, so it’s worth a try. I know all of the CVS stores out by me accept expired ECBs, but I have never tried at Walgreens. That’s one thing I don’t like about Walgreens, though….the shelf life on the catalinas is so short!

Wow!! You know, a trip to Texas sounds good right now as it’s supposed to be -3 tonight in Cincinnati. Also, I can’t find the FAst Fixins at my Kroger..may be a local item.

  6. Thank you for your advice.

  7. So I have another question…about those fast fixins. It specified on the coupon that it was for 20oz pkgs but they took it. Should I feel guilty, I do?

  8. I have printed that coupon so many times over the past year, but had no idea that they had added the size limitation until I printed it this morning. I took the link off. Don’t feel guilty because I was the one who gave the wrong information!
