More Walgreens deals!

Are you worn out from all of the Walgreens deals yet? Here are a few more!

I read this on several blogs yesterday, so I’m not sure where it originated:

Comtrex 20 count is priced at $5.99. There is a $3/1 coupon that was in the 11-1 SS insert and there is a $3 coupon in the Walgreens November coupon booklet (these are usually located at the front of the store where the ads are).

Here’s how this works:

Buy 1 Comtrex (20 ct) – $5.99
Buy one “filler” item – Hunt’s tomato sauce is .39/this week (this have to do this because you actually end up with .01 “overage” and there will be problems at the register if you don’t)

Use $3/1 manufacturer’s coupon (you MUST give this first)
Use $3/1 Walgreens coupon from the November coupon booklet
Use Walgreens in ad coupon for the Hunt’s

Spend .38 OOP

Apparently the Pantene Pro-V trial sized items (which are priced at $.99/each) are also producing the $2 RR this week!

Here’s how this deal works:

Buy 2 trial-sized Pantene Pro-V – $.99/each

Spend $1.98 OOP (or use a filler and a $2 RR to pay), earn a $2 RR!

Check out the other Walgreens deals for the week here and here!

If you want to roll your $3 Chapstick RR:

My scenarios: The only deodorant my husband will use is the Gillette deodorant and it hardly ever goes on sale, so that is mainly what I will be getting this week.

I have a $9 Zantac RR, so I will be buying:
1 Gillette Body Wash – $4
1 Gillette deodorant – $4
1 Herbal Essence shampoo – $3.50
1 Herbal Essence styler – $3.50
1 Dial handsoap – $1.99

Use free body wash WYB deodorant coupon
Use free styler WYB shampoo coupon
Use .35 Dial coupon
Use $9 RR

Spend $.14 OOP, get 2 $2 RR and one $1 RR

I have an $8 Theraflu RR, so I will be buying:
1 Gillette body wash – $4
1 Gillette deodorant – $4
1 Herbal Essence shampoo – $3.50
1 Herbal Essence styler – $3.50
1 Glade 4.5 oz candle – $3.99

I have 2 $6 Fusion RR: (I will do this twice)
Buy 2 Alka Seltzer Day/Night variety – 2/$10
Buy 1 Hunt’s tomato sauce – $.39

Use 2 $1/1 printables
Use Walgreens Health Savings booklet coupon (will deduct $2)
Use Walgreens coupon – tomato sauce
Use $6 Fusion RR

Spend $.39 OOP, earn a $3 RR

Then, I will use the two $3 RR to do this twice:
Buy 1 Gillette deodorant
Buy 1 Gillette body wash
Buy 1 Hunt’s tomato sauce

Use free body wash WYB deodorant coupon
Use $1/1 deodorant coupon
Use $3 RR

Spend .39 OOP, get a $2 RR

I have 4 more of the $3 Chapstick RR and 4 of the $1 Glade/Trident/Halls RR, so I will do this deal 4 times:
Buy 1 Gillette deodorant
Buy 1 Gillette body wash
Buy 1 Hunts tomato sauce – $.39

Use free body wash WYB deodorant coupon
Use $3 RR
Use $1 RR
use Walgreens in ad coupon for tomato sauce

Spend $.39 OOP, get a $2 RR

So, for $4.47 OOP, I end up with $94.76 in merchandise and I will have $22 in RR left to spend.

I will probably also buy some of the Charmin toilet paper and pay with my RR.

Some helpful tips:
*At Walgreens, you cannot do a promotion more than once in a transaction and earn Register Rewards. So, if you buy more than 1 Blistex this week, you can still only earn 1 $1 RR.

*You also cannot use the Register Rewards earned from a promotion on the same promotion and earn Register Rewards again. For example, if you buy Blistex, get a $1 RR and use it to buy another Blistex, another RR will not print.

*Typically, you cannot use the Register Rewards earned from a promotion with the same manufacturer and earn Register Rewards again. For example, you cannot buy Herbal Essence stuff this week and then use it to buy other PG products because most likely, your RR will not print.

Here is information on the manufacturers for this week’s RR:
Alka Seltzer – Bayer
Blistex – Blistex
Claritin – Schering-Plough Healthcare
Glade – SC Johnson
These are all PG – Aussie/Herbal Essence/Pantene, Gillette razor/deodorant/body wash, Olay, Oral B, Bounce/Downy/Tide/Febreze/Vicks

*Register Rewards are considered to be “manufacturer’s coupons” and you can only use one manufacturer’s coupon per item. You will have to add “filler” items. The in ad coupons often have good, inexpensive filler items. (this week, my favorite filler is the Hunt’s tomato sauce)

*If you are buying items that would result in a “free” item or “overage” when combining a store coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon, give the manufacturer’s coupon FIRST, and the store coupons LAST to avoid beeping/issues at the register! Make sure that you are purchasing enough items in your total transaction to “cover” the overage. You will not get cash back and you will have to add items to cover the overage or they will not take the coupon.

*If your Register Reward doesn’t print for some reason and you have fulfilled all of the obligations for the “deal” (including not using RR from the same parent company to pay) DO NOT let them tell you it is because you used coupons! Chances are they didn’t print because the catalina machine is not working. You have two choices: you can return your items and try again or you can contact the catalina company by doing the following:
*The store will give you a form to fill out and mail in to catalina
*Call 1-888-8coupon, option 3
*Use the online form to contact them: Contact Catalina Marketing (when I have tried contacting them this way, my results have not been very good….your best bet is to call)

More hot deals: Target and Walgreens!

There are a few deals this week that I missed when I posted originally or wanted to be sure to highlight so you don’t miss!

TARGET DEALS

Target has their Dr. Pepper products on sale 4/$11 this week (this may be a regional sale, so check your ads/stores for details). Use the $1/1 Target printable here (it is a Bricks coupon, so you can print two per computer) and get it for $1.75/12 pack.

Selected Keebler cookies are on sale for $2/each this week (the varieties available has varied from location to location – I have seen the Chips Deluxe and Fudge Stripes lines consistently at all stores, but some stores also have the Pecan Sandies). When you buy 2 packages, you get a third one for free. So, you can get three packages of cookies for $1.50 after coupons (I realize that there are “better” deals posted on other sites, but these involve using multiple Target coupons and the wording on the Target coupons specifically states that only one may be used per transaction – my stores do not accept more than one per transaction and I don’t want anyone to have a bad experience because they followed a deal that I posted that didn’t “work”)

Here’s the breakdown:

Buy 3 packages of Keebler cookies (two need to be from the “Chips Deluxe” line) – $4

Use the $1.50/2 printable coupon here (if the coupon is not showing up for you, use the zip code 33901)

Use the $1/2 Target Chips Deluxe printable here

Spend $1.50 out of pocket!

If you have already met your print limit on the $1.50/2 coupons (it’s two per computer), there are also $1/2 Fudge Stripes printable coupons on snackpicks.com (you must register to print these coupons).

Also, look for specially marked packages that include “movie tokens” – send in five movie tokens and get a free movie!

**There are also certain products (the Pecan Sandies) that are part of the Keebler $10 Toy cash promotion. Buy 5 specially marked products and get a $10 check back. You can download the form here.

So, if you do this deal twice, you could potentially get six packages of cookies and a movie for $3 or six packages of cookies and a $10 check (which means you made $7 buying cookies!)

You can access the rest of the Target deals for the week in this post here.

Some helpful tips:
*At Walgreens, you cannot do a promotion more than once in a transaction and earn Register Rewards. So, if you buy more than 1 Halls cough drops this week, you will not earn more than 1 RR. You will only get $1.

*You also cannot use the Register Rewards earned from a promotion on the same promotion and earn Register Rewards again. For example, if you buy Halls cough drops, get a $1 RR and use it to buy another Halls cough drops, another RR will not print.

*Typically, you cannot use the Register Rewards earned from a promotion with the same manufacturer and earn Register Rewards again. For example, you cannot buy a Vaseline lotion and use the RR from the promotion to buy another Vaseline lotion because your RR will not print.

Here is information on the manufacturers for this week’s RR (thanks HCW!):
Vaseline = Unilever
Emergen C = Alacer
Chapstick = Wyeth
Robitussin = Wyeth

*Register Rewards are considered to be “manufacturer’s coupons” and you can only use one manufacturer’s coupon per item. You will have to add “filler” items. The in ad coupons often have good, inexpensive filler items. (this week, my favorite fillers are the Royal gelatin and the ACT II popcorn)
