Walgreens $5/20 coupon

Here’s a coupon so that you can save $5 off a $20 purchase at Walgreens:

http://www.walgreens.com/hotbuys/default.jsp?xec=hn596_getcoupon

In the fine print, it says that the purchase price must be $20 after all coupons and other discounts. So, you have to spend at least $15 out of pocket. But….there are some great deals this week. And…it’s “double dipping days” because the October Easysaver catalog comes out.

There’s a thread about “double dipping” here on Hot Coupon World:
http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/walgreens-easy-saver-rebates/161539-double-dip-sept-oct-esr-september-26-27-a-post1200216.html

Happy shopping!

Walgreens scenarios for the week (9/7-9/13)

I’ve loved CVS for a lot longer than Walgreens, but lately Walgreens has much better deals. If you’re new to shopping at Walgreens, here are some scenarios to get you started:

BUY 3 COUGH MEDICINES, get a $10 RR

Robitussin & Dimetapp are $3.99 this week (make sure that you get the bottles that are marked at this price because they are the only ones that work for this deal). There are $3 printable coupons for the Robitussin and $2 printable coupons for the Dimetapp (links below).

Dimetapp link:
https://j.ovm1.net/wch1/universalreg/Registration.aspx?reg=true&product=di&c=1245&s=01&p=DIM06001

Robitussin link:
https://j.ovm1.net/wch1/Robitussinstandalone/default.aspx?c=1373&p=ROB06019&s=01

You can stop here, or, if you want to keep on saving, here’s some ways to spread the $:

Stock up on cleaning supplies next:

2 Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush Max – $3.79 (there were $3 off coupons in Sunday’s paper, and I will use 2)
2 Scrubbing Bubbles scrubbers – $3.79 ( – 2 $2.75/1 coupons – printable on scrubbingbubbles.com)
1 Scrubbing Bubbles shower foam – $3.79 (-$1 coupon on Scrubbing Bubbles.com and there was also on in Sunday’s paper)
1 Shout stain remover – $2.79 (-.75/1 coupon)
1 Windex – $2.79 (-.75/1)

2 Oust Sanitizers – they are on sale for $2.99 this week and there is a $1/1 Walgreens coupon in the Easysaver catalog and a BOGO free coupon that was in the paper recently as well as a $1/1 coupon that was in the paper recently. They let me use all 3, which made them free.

Glade Fabric Refresher is $2.99. There is a $1/1 Walgreens coupon in the Easysaver catalog and there were $1.50/1 coupons in the paper recently (or printable ones on their website). This makes it .49!

Hunt’s tomato sauce is 3/$1 with the in ad coupon and I need a “filler” so I can use my RR (remember that RR are considered a manufacturer’s coupon at Walgreens, so if you are using manufacturer’s coupons for everything else you’re buying, you need to buy something extra to cover using the RR)

Use $10 RR from cough medicine. I will pay $2.02 and get another $10 RR
(if you don’t have all of the coupons I mentioned, you could buy 2 and get $2 or 4 and get $5…print 2 of the $2.75/1 Action Scrubbers and you pay $2.08 and get $2 back)
There is a manufacturer’s mail in rebate for the Action Scrubbers. You will be reimbursed for the full purchase amount $3.79.

I plan to do this next:
Buy 1 Crest Pro Health mouth rinse 4.49 (-.75/1 coupon)
Buy 1 Excedrin Express Gels 3.99 (-$2 printable)
Buy 1 Nivea Men Body Wash 4.99 (-$2 printable)
Buy 1 LypSyl 1.99

Use $10 RR from Scrubbing Bubbles..spend .71, get $4.49 from Crest and do Walgreens rebates for Excedrin, Body Wash, and LypSyl ($10.97)

THEN:
Buy 1 Revlon Nail Color 4.79 (use $2 from All You or recent inserts)
Buy 1 Crest Pro Health toothpaste (use .75/1 from P&G insert)

use $4.49 RR from Crest. Spend $1.34, get $8.58 in Walgreens rebates

With my $2 from the free Glade Plug ins last week, I’ll have $21.55 coming to me in Walgreens rebates for spending $4.07. I will also get an addition $3.79 for the action scrubber. Total profit = $21.27

You CAN get paid to shop! 🙂 Happy shopping!

Other deals:
Dawn – .99 (use .50/1 from P&G insert)
Tide – $5.49 (use $1/1 coupon)
Pop Tarts/Rice Krispie treats – $1.69 ($1/2 from recent Kelloggs insert, $10 MIR if you buy 10 items)

My scenarios (I decided to include these if people are new to CVSing and need ideas):
Transaction #1 – Buy Claritin $8.99 and Colgate $2.99
Use $4 Claritin from last week’s inserts, $1.50 Colgate from All You and $2/10 CVS coupon
Spend $4.48, get $3

Transaction #2 – Buy Cover Girl Wet Slicks $5.99, buy 2 Cover Girl Lip color $5.99 – use Cover Girl $1/1, Cover Girl BOGO free, and $2/10 CVS
Spend $2.99, get $5.99 – I needed new lip stick, so I’m excited about this 🙂
**If you are new to CVSing and have this week’s coupons, this is a nice way to start

Transaction #3 – Buy Tide, 2 Dawn, and Colgate – use Tide $1/1, 2 Dawn .50/1, Colgate $1.50/1 and $2/10 CVS
Spend $4.96, get $2

More scenario ideas (great if you are new to CVSing and don’t want to spend a lot of $$)
Transaction #1:
Buy Cover Girl Wet Slicks $5.99, buy 2 Cover Girl Lip color $5.99 – use Cover Girl $1/1, Cover Girl BOGO free, and $2/10 CVS Spend $2.99, get $5.99

Transaction #2:
Buy Pantene Pro-V Shampoo/Cond/Styling Product- 3/$9.99, Colgate – $2.99

Use another $2/10 CVS coupon, the $1.50 printable Colgate coupon, the free Pantene styling product coupon from this week’s inserts, and your $5.99 ECB from the CoverGirl deal. Spend .16 (plus tax depending on your area), get $4 in ECBs.

Transaction #3:
Colgate – $2.99 – use $1.50 manufacturer’s coupon – OOP $1.49
Dawn- .99 Cents – .50 Cent MFR = .49 cents OOP
Use your $2 ECB (They will have to adjust it down to $1.98), and get another $2 ECB! 🙂

SO……for $3.15 (and possibly tax), you get all of that stuff and still have $4 in ECB to spend next week!

**The CoverGirl Wetslicks and BOGO scenario ONLY works if you can find the Outlast lipsticks for $5.99 (the ad says prices start at $4.99, but my stores don’t have anything under $9.99). If you can’t, you need to revamp the scenario because if you try to buy two Outlast lipsticks for $9.99 and the $5.99 Wetslicks together, it will take the “free” off the $5.99 automatically and then with your coupon, one of the $9.99 will come off, but you will still end up paying $8.99.

Target deals: I haven’t seen the ad (we get the paper on Sunday) or ad scans, but I read about this on a few different sites. Apparently it is not in all areas, so check your ads first.

Kellogg’s products are on sale 4/$9. Buy 4, get a $5 gift card. Items I have seen listed are: Rice Krispie Treats (8 ct), Pop Tarts (12 ct), Special K bars, Fudge Shoppe cookies, and Cheez Its. There are also Vocal Point coupons for $1/1 off the Special K bars and the $10 MIR when you buy 10 products if you haven’t done that yet. The beauty of this Target deal is you can buy 8 items (or 12 if you are going for the MIR) and get 2-3 $5 gift cards.

Here’s a Pop Tarts deal: Buy 10 Pop Tarts, use 5 $1/2 manufacturer’s coupons, use 10 .50/1 Target printable coupons. Spend $12.50, get $10 Target gift cards (send in MIR, get $10)
