Walgreens: Get Cap’N Crunch cereal for $.50/box!

My kids love Cap’N Crunch cereal, so they’ll be excited about this deal.  Right now, Walgreens has smaller boxes (6 servings) for $1 each, so they’ll be $.50 each after the coupons that were released today.

Here’s the breakdown:

Buy 2 Cap’N Crunch – $1

Use $1/2 printable here or $1/2 Cap’N Crunch – 4-17 RP

Final Price = $.50/each after coupons (when you buy 2)

This would be a great item to add to your “Couponing for Community” stash! (For details, click here)

Make sure you check out the rest of my Walgreens deals for the week here!

Couponing for a Cause: best donation deals for the week of 4/17!

Last week, I posted about “couponing for a cause” and two great causes – Couponing for Community and Mummy Deals’ Charity Challenge.  If you missed that post, make sure you read about it here! You’ve still got time to Mummy Deals’ Charity Challenge this week:  buy a box of pasta and donate it (when you participate in the challenge, you can also enter to win a $25 Restaurant.com gift card!)  You’ve got PLENTY of time to collect items for Couponing for Community in May!  This week, there are several food items priced at just $.49/each (Betty Crocker potatoes, Stove Top Stuffing, and Green Giant vegetables).  I encourage you to buy just 2 items and save those to donate to Stamp Out Hunger in May!

Couponing for a Cause!

I began using coupons “seriously” a little over 4 years ago.  The money we have saved using coupons has been a huge blessing for our family, and we have also been blessed because we have been able to give back to others.  As you become more confident in your couponing skills, I encourage you to work toward building a stockpile for your own family with items that you use regularly, but I also encourage you to take some of the items that you are able to get for free or really cheap and donate them to others who may be in need.  Food banks and women’s shelters or homeless shelters are always looking for donations of non-perishable food items as well as health and beauty items.  Many times, local church organizations also collect these items.

I’d like to introduce you to two different ways you can help to “coupon for a cause.”

Couponing for Community is a nationwide event utilizing the power of couponing and social media to make a united impact for those in need.  We invite you to join this community by using your couponing skills to give to a homeless shelter, food pantry, or a friend in need during the week of May 8-14! They chose this week to match up with Stamp Out Hunger Day, which is May 14th.  If your local Post Office is participating, all you have to do is put a bag of non-perishable food items by your mailbox on May 14th!

What is the Goal?
This year we are setting a goal of 10,000 items donated in one week’s time. We invite you to track your giving during the week of May 8-14 and share your story here. They will have a giving tracker to tally up everyone’s efforts!!

Make sure you like Couponing for Community here on Facebook to join in with this great cause!

Clair at Mummy Deals is also starting a “Charity Challenge” and each Tuesday she will be posting ideas about things that you can donate on a budget.  You can read more about that here.
