The best deals on Halloween candy!

This year, the Halloween candy deals have been a bit slow (which is probably a good thing because when we buy Halloween candy early, the candy seems to go before Halloween!).  There are a few decent deals this week and since Halloween is next week, I thought I’d post a round-up of deals on Halloween candy.

TOYS ‘R US:  The fun size bags of candy are priced at $1.99.  Use the following coupons to get the bags for $1.49/each.  If your stores are sold out of candy, don’t forget to take your ad to Walmart or Target to price match!

Here are the coupons that match up with this deal:

$1/3 Mars candy – 9-26 RP
$1/2 Hershey’s, Reese’s, or Kit Kat snack size bags – 10-17 SS
$1/1 Hershey’s Special Dark Miniatures 9-19 SS
$1/2 Starburst, Skittles, or Lifesavers fun size bags

TARGET:  Most of the fun size bags of candy are priced at $2.39.  There is a $1/3 Mars candy printable on Target.com.

Here are some candy coupons that match up with this deal:
$1/3 Mars candy – 9-26 RP
$1/2 Hershey’s, Reese’s, or Kit Kat snack size bags – 10-17 SS
$1/1 Hershey’s Special Dark Miniatures 9-19 SS

Mars candy will be $1.72/each after coupons.

Next week, CVS will have fun size bags on sale 2/$4, which will make them $1.50/each with the coupons listed under the TRU match-ups above.

The best candy deals for the week of 10/18

I have put off buying my Halloween candy this year because I keep hoping for a great deal like there has been in previous years and it just doesn’t seem to be happening this year.

Here are all of the candy coupons I am aware of:
$0.55/1 Reese’s candy from the 8-23SS
$1/1 Hershey’s Kisses from the 9-13SS
$1/3 Hershey’s Fun Size snacks from the 9-27SS
$1/2 Hershey’s Bliss bags from the 9-20SS
$1/2 Nestle Fun size bags – 10-18 RP
Hershey’s buy 3, get 1 FREE coupon from the 10-18SS
Trident Layers Gum, buy one get one free from the 10-18SS
$1/1 Nestle candy and $1/1 Wonka candy printables here (you can print 2 per account/computer)
$1/2 Mars candy – 10-11 RP

UPDATE: There is a $2/1 Wonka and $2/1 Nestle printable available on coupons.com. These are for the bigger (24 oz) bags, but you should still be able to get some good deals using these coupons!

Here are the best deals I’ve seen on candy thus far this week:

Toys ‘R Us has the best deals in my opinion – they have their Halloween candy (6.34 oz-18.7 oz) for $1.74/bag.

*Nestle/Wonka candy will be $.74/bag with the $1/1 coupon

*Buy 4 bags of Hershey’s candy, use the $1/3 coupon and the B3G1 free coupon and pay $4.22 OOP (that’s $1.05/bag)

*Buy 2 bags of Mars candy, use the $1/2 coupon and pay $2.48 OOP (that’s $1.24/bag)

Walgreens has their fun size candy 2/$4.

*Nestle/Wonka candy will be $1/bag with the $1/1 coupon

*Buy 4 bags of Hershey’s candy, use the $1/3 coupon and the B3G1 free coupon and pay $5 OOP ($1.25/bag)

More Savings Monday: Candy deals this week and Target holiday markdown schedule

CANDY DEALS FOR THE WEEK

If you have procrastinated in buying Halloween candy, it’s not too late! 🙂 There are still some decent deals this week:

CVS – today only

All Hershey’s/Mars/Nestle fun size (9.5-13.3 oz) candy -2/$3 (after today it will be 2/$5) – if they don’t have any in stock, make sure you get a raincheck. You will probably be able to pick it up later in the week after they receive their shipments!

TARGET HOLIDAY MARKDOWN SCHEDULE (handy for post Halloween and for other upcoming holidays!)

50% off the day after holiday, for three days

75% off the fourth day after holiday, for three days

90% off the seventh day after holiday, for 1-2 days

*Of course, your experience may vary! I have found that a lot of the stuff goes the first day after the holiday, but at Christmas time, there is still usually a lot of wrapping paper/gift bags/boxes left when it goes to 90% off (if you get there first thing in the morning), and so I always stock up on my wrapping for the next year at that time

KMART

Since I live in the land of no K-Mart, I haven’t really mentioned their “Super Double Deals” even though I am envious every time I read the postings with the insane hauls that people got for next to nothing on message boards I frequent. More Savings Monday: The best candy deals of the week….

It’s hard for me to believe that Halloween is just around the corner. I don’t like to wait until the last minute to do things and I feel like this year I have really procrastinated in stocking up on Halloween candy. I was really hoping to get some at CVS last week, but that just didn’t happen, so this week I’m on a quest to find the best deals on Halloween candy.

Here’s what I’ve found so far:

KROGER

Mars, Nestle, Hershey’s miniatures or snack size bags – $1.88/each

TIP: When printing “Bricks” coupons (like the one above), when it has finished printing, click the back button on your browser until it starts printing again. You should be able to print 2 from each computer!

$1/2 M&Ms or Mars bagged candy from 9/28 and 10/12 RP inserts

TOYS R US

Candy is on sale for $1.49/bag this week for the Mars/Hersheys/Nestle fun size bags

Use the $1/1 Nestle printables to get each bag for .49 or the $1/2 Mars coupons from the paper for bags that are .99/each. Not a bad deal!

WALGREENS

Mars, Nestle, Hershey’s fun size bagged candy – 4/$10 – there is a $4 MIR in the Easysaver catalog this month

Buy 4 bags Nestle, use 4 Nestle printable $1/1 coupons = 4 bags for $6. Then send in for the $4 MIR = 4 bags for $2.

Buy 4 bags Mars candy, use 2 $1/2 coupons (last week’s inserts) = 4 bags for $8. Then send in for the $4 MIR = 4 bags for $4.
