My $40 weekly grocery budget shopping trip

Here are my shopping trips for the week (with the exception of my Randalls trip which is here). There weren’t a lot of groceries I “needed” for our weekly meals, so I bought things to offset the cost of items I needed to take for various upcoming functions.

Target: 4 bags of Cheetos (used $1 Target printables), 1 bag of Dole baby spinach (used $1 Target printable), 2 bags of rice, 1 jar of Pace salsa (used $4 printable), 4 bags of Artisan french bread (used $1 Target printables), 2 cans of black beans, 1 can of butter spray, 2 boxes of pudding, 3 pounds of bananas, 1 bag of jumbo marshmallows (we’re going to use these to make the super cute bunny treats here), total OOP = $10.23 (saved $8.98)

Kroger: 2 packages Cottonelle toilet paper (used 2 .50 printables which doubled and a .25 Cellfire coupon), 2 pounds grapes, strawberries, 2 cans cream of mushroom soup, 1 can cream of celery soup, 4 cans mushrooms, 2 gallons milk (not pictured), total OOP = $14.46 (saved $6.12)

CVS: 6 bags of Huggies diapers (used 6 $3 printables), 2 Skintimate shave lotion, total OOP = $0 (paid w/ ECBs)

So, my total OOP for the week (including the $14.45 I spent at Randalls) was $39.15.

You may have noticed that I haven’t updated my savings totals recently. My husband I recently started Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, so we are in the process of re-evaluating the savings plan so that we can start our debt snowball. I’ll post updated savings information (and a debt snowball ticker, too) once we get everything figured out!
