Free Weekend Family Fun and Activities Round-Up!

Looking for some free family fun this weekend? Here is a round up of free activities and events. It’s always a good idea to check with your local store before going to make sure that they are participating (especially if you’ve got a drive).

Apple Stores – Check your local store for weekly workshops and youth programs

Bass Pro Shops – Free weekend events vary by store location and include camping workshops, food sampling and more!

Barnes & Noble – Saturday, February 27th at 1 1 a.m., storytime and activities celebrating Dr. Seuss’s Birthday.

Disney Store – Calling all mammals for a Zootopia In-Store Event! On 2/27 and 3/5, get to know the characters from Zootopia while you become a Junior Zootopia officer and help solve a case! All trainees will receive a FREE giveaway! Minimum age for participation is 3 years. Event limited based on store capacity. No lineups prior to 30 minutes before event begins. Event subject to change or cancellation without notice. While supplies last.  Zootopia In-Store Event only at select locations. Check with your local Store for details. Ask a Cast Member for details when you arrive

Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores – Free demos every Saturday, check your store here for more details.

Lakeshore Learning – Saturday, February 27th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., kids can make a Fantastically Funny Fish.

Lowes Build and Grow – Saturday, February 27th at 10 a.m., kids can build a Monster Jam featuring Dragon. Class includes a free apron, goggles and patch. Register here for this class and to too upcoming classes.

Microsoft Stores – Check your local store for classes and special events for the whole family.

Pottery Barn Kids – Tuesday’s from 11-11:30 a.m., Story Time.

Target – select a city to find free or reduced-price admission to arts and cultural events in your area, sponsored by Target.

The Home Depot – The next class will be on Saturday, March 5th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., kids can make a toy wagon. All kid get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last

Toys R Us – Saturday, February 27th from 12-2 p.m., Catch 2 FREE Pokémon Cards! Celebrate 20 years of Pokémon with a free Pikachu and Magicarp card as well as an activity book and poster.

Williams Sonoma Free Cooking Classes – This has been on my bucket list for a long time because I think my daughter would LOVE it! You do have to register in advance, but they’ve got the schedule posted for the whole month!

Check to see if there is a CityPASS available in your area! See some of your city’s most popular attractions this long weekend for a fraction of the price! We have purchased our local CityPASS several times and LOVE IT!
