Now that Thanksgiving is over, it is time to bring on the Christmas goodies!  This one is for my hubby who loves all things pie.  This egg nog cream pie looks so yummy.  I think that I will use a graham cracker crust instead, though.  The tutorial includes directions to make oyur own crust, but you can always buy a store bought one as well.  Thanks Lauren’s Latest!

Cooking With Kids Thursday: Thanksgiving Teepee Cupcakes

These Teepee Cupcakes would be such a fun project to keep the kids occupied on Thanksgiving Day.  You could do all the prep work like baking the cupcakes inside the cones ahead of time, and then while you are trying to get dinner done, they can be decorating.  Depending on how well they turn out you could place one on each plate at the dinner table.  They can also double as a dessert for those who don’t like pumpkin pie.  Thanks Sties Thoughts!

Here’s what you need to make these:

  • cake mix (mixed according to instructions)
  • sugar ice cream cones
  • pretzel sticks
  • chocolate chips (for melting)
  • sprinkles
  • disposable pie tin
