This would be such a fun party favor to hand out at your 4th of July barbeque this year.  They are fairly easy to make, too.  Even the little ones could get in on the fun, stuffing the tubes with candy and little toys.  Thanks for the cute idea and printable It Is What It Is!

Here’s what you need to make these:

  • Paper towel roll or toilet paper roll
  • Tissue paper
  • Ribbon

4th of July Craft: Patriotic Wreath

I can’t believe that the 4th of July is only a few weeks away!  Where has June gone?  This 4th is a special one for our family, since it is my husband’s first as a U.S. citizen so I really want to go all out.  I saw this wreath on pinterest and fell in love.  It looks pretty easy to make, just time intensive.  I guess I better get moving then.  Thanks for the idea Capital B!

Here’s what you need to make this:

  • 6 red, 6 white and 4 blue felt sheets
  • scissors
  • straight pins
  • rounded foam wreath
  • craft wire
  • white cardstock

Father’s Day Craft: Photo Collage

Father’s Day is just a month away so it is time to start thinking about the perfect gift to give that special man in your life.  This photo collage is such a cute and meaningful gift idea.  It would look perfect in Dad’s office or on his nightstand.  I think we will probably even make one for Grandpa.  He would love it!  Thanks for the idea Positively Splendid!

Mother’s Day Craft: Mother’s Day Gift Jar

I must be going through some sort of jar phase because it seems like every craft I want to do lately involves a jar.  I really think this gift idea from Better Homes and Gardens is such a sweet idea.  It would be so fun for the kids to do this for Grandma for Mother’s Day.  To be honest, I would love it if my kids did this for me!  I think we all have those days where everything seems to go wrong.  How great would it be to have a jar full of reasons to smile right at your fingertips?!  That could brighten any bad day!

Here’s what you need to make this:

  • jar with lid
  • 1 inch strips of colorful or patterned paper
  • paper for front label
  • small stickers or tape
  • ribbon
  • markers or crayons
