Easter Craft: Jelly Bean Door Decor

This is such a fun and easy Easter Craft to do with the kiddos and comes to you courtesy of Better Homes & Gardens Magazine.  Finally, something to do with all those jelly beans (besides eating them, of course!)!  As much as I love the idea of using all one color of jelly beans I am kind of leaning towards doing a multi-colored one.  Hmm… decisions, decisions.

Here’s what you need to make this:

  • paper mache letter of your choice (available in craft stores)
  • jelly beans (color of your choice)
  • acrylic paint (to match the color of your jelly beans)
  • ribbon
  • hot glue gun or spray adhesive

Easter Craft: Decorative String Eggs!

I remember making these in elementary school one year.  They are so fun to create and make a fantastic centerpiece for your table!

Here’s what you need to make these:

  • 1 cup liquid starch
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • embriodery floss
  • balloons (water balloons for small eggs as shown in the picture, but you can use any size you want)

Last Minute St. Patrick’s Day Craft: Bleach Pen T-shirts

Are you just barely realizing that St. Patrick’s day is just a few days away and you and your kids don’t have anything green to wear?  These t-shirts are a great last minute idea and fairly inexpensive.  It is spring break for us right now and I am desperate for ways to keep my kids entertained.  They would have a blast making these.  All you need is a t-shirt and a bleach pen!  Thanks Plum Adorable for the idea!

St. Patrick’s Day Countdown

Here is a great way to have a little fun with St. Patrick’s Day and to teach your kids a little along the way.  I am loving this idea, especially since next week is Spring Break and I am all for ways to keep my kids entertained all week long.  It is going to take a bit of preparation on my part and I think that I will tweak a few of the ideas and maybe not do as many of them each day, but I really think the kids are going to have a lot of fun.  Thanks Kelly at Little Wonders’ Days!

St. Patrick’s Day Craft: Shamrock Headband

My girls pretty much refuse to wear anything unless it is pink or purple, so trying to get something green on them for St. Patrick’s day is somewhat of an uphill battle.  I really like this idea of a simple shamrock headband.  I think they would be willing to wear this for a day, especially if I added some touches of pink to it.  Thanks Laura for sharing!

Here’s what you need to make this:

  • Stretchy handband in a color of your choice.
  • Felt in green, white, black
  • Tacky Glue
  • Scissors
  • Iron
  • Fiskars Oval Shape Cutter Template (optional)
  • Fiskars Heart Shaped Squeeze Punch (optional)
