    Back to School Giveaway: Hallmark’s Back to School pack!

    Sadly, “Back to School” time is just around the corner!  For the kids, there is usually a lot of excitement over new backpacks, new school supplies, and new clothes.  But, sometimes there is a little bit of anxiety, too!

    The Hallmark Back to School Pack has everything you need to face the challenges that lie ahead in the upcoming school year!

    Here’s what’s included:

    –Hallmark’s Bug ‘EM:  Challenge the entire family to support each other by passing around the encouragement bug.  One person starts by filling Bug ‘Em with treats, a coupon to do something nice (e.g., make their sibling’s bed) or a kind note of encouragement, and then leaves Bug ‘Em where the recipient will find it. Once the recipient finds Bug ‘Em, he or she is charged with surprising another family member and spreading the encouragement bug.

    Get ready for a weekend of non-stop activities! Together, you and your family will explore the past, present and future of space flight. Space Camp Family Program is designed to give you an overview of space exploration, while experiencing very real space simulations. It’s a weekend for your family to train like astronauts becoming partners in learning.5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and lift off! Watch the rockets you build soar. Share the pride while maneuvering the orbiter through space. What better way to build a lasting relationship than through the Space Camp Family Program?

     

    Space Camp Trainees engage in simulated astronaut training to learn leadership, teamwork, problem-solving and decision – making. Trainees experience living and working space using simulators like the 1/6th gravity chair, participate in hand-on activities such as building and launching rockets or designing robots in the lab, and conduct science experiments on the International Space Station. Space Camp trainees put all this knowledge to the test as the take command of their own simulated space shuttle missions…are you ready for liftoff.

    Aviation Challenge is a realistic military combat experience where young people learn teamwork, leadership and life skills. Using hands –on learning activities and instruction from military and civilian pilots, trainees gain and understanding or the basics of aerodynamics, flight physiology and wilderness survival. Aviation trainees spend an exciting and educational week in the great outdoors and in high – performance jet simulators training like military fighter pilots…are you up to the challenge?

    Thanks to the US Space and Rocket Center for their gracious sponsorship of a family camp certificate. This certificate will entitle one lucky winner to the following:
