One of my favorite things about summer is being able to participate in summer reading programs with my kids. We have been doing this for several years now and one of our favorite summer reading programs is the HEB Summer Reading Program! When your kids read 10 books this summer, they can get their own HEB Reading Rocks t-shirt!
HEB was kind enough to send my kids a summer reading package including all of the items pictured above. My son quickly claimed the t-shirt (which of course led to plenty of drama from my daughter!). I’ve loved reading the books they sent to my kids and hearing my daughter read them to her younger brother! The bag has come in handy for our road trips this summer!
If you would like to participate in the HEB Summer reading program, you can print your form here–> HEB 2012 summer reading program
Read 10 books and submit your form by October 1, 2012, and your child can get their own t-shirt! If your child is too young to read books on their own, you can read to them!
NOTE: This program is only available to residents of Texas.
HEB also provided me with a $20 gift card to give away to once lucky winner!

My sons are too young to read but our favorite bedtime stories are about super heros!
My daughter LOVES to read Skippy John Jones! THat’s one that is definitely on her summer reading list!
Dd’s still too young to read on her own but she loves us to read to her – anything princess or faerie related! We even have books on my kindle for her and we will read from those when out and about!
My son loves to read series. He is re-reading the Diary of a Whimpy kid.
My grandson list is whatever is read to him!!!
Pretty much any book she can get her hands on and understands is fair game to her. She is a big reader.
My son is working his way through the Olivia and Curious George books this summer (and he loves Skippyjon Jones too!)
My daughter is 6 and loves reading (she started reading at 3 1/2)- and her current interest is Harry Potter books…
My kids love to read. My son reads a lot of Pokemon and dinosaur books and my oldest daughter likes to read anything about horses. My youngest daughter is only 3 and she only likes to get books about princesses!
My son is 3 1/2 and we are reading Stinky Cheese Man and other Fairly Stupid Tales… it makes him giggle to see the old lady pass out when she takes the cheese man out of the oven 🙂
Flat Stanley books and Mercy the Pig are my 4 year old son’s favorite.
All my kids are grown but the Grand-kids love to have books read to them that has anything to do with animals. They love looking at all the pictures of different animals.
we are reading anything for 3rd graders ..thanks, simms3710@yahoo.com
