Free Weekend Family Fun and Activities Round-Up!

Looking for some free family fun this weekend? Here is a round up of free activities and events. It’s always a good idea to check with your local store before going to make sure that they are participating (especially if you’ve got a drive).

The event I look forward to EVERY year returns tonight!

Make sure you take advantage of Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops.  They’ve got free events every day through December 24th including:

• Free 4X6 photo with Santa
• Free Activities such as a Foam Toy and Laser Arcade and moving trains
• Free crafts
• Free Outdoor Plush Buddy to the first 100 kids each week night between 5 and 7 pm

NOTE:  You can also get a Bass Pass which will give you a designated time to return to Santa’s Wonderland for your photo so you don’t have to wait in line!

Apple Stores – Check your local store for weekly workshops and youth programs

Barnes & Noble – Saturday, November 14th at 11:00 a.m., The Little Snowplow storytime and activities. Look here for a store near you.

Disney Store – Saturday, November 14th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 15th from 12:30-2:30 p.m., experience a new world of adventure at Disney Store’s Dino-rama Event! Get to know the characters from The Good Dinosaur and make your own dino-rama craft to take home!

Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores – Free demos every Saturday, check your store here for more details.

Lakeshore Learning – Saturday, November 14th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., kids can make a Thanksgiving Doorhanger.

Lowes Build and Grow – The next class will be on Saturday, November 14th at 10 a.m., where kids can make a pullback #48 racecar. Free apron, goggles and patch are included. Register for this class here

Microsoft Stores – Check your local store for classes and special events for the whole family.

Pottery Barn Kids – Tuesday’s from 11-11:30 a.m., Story Time.

Target – select a city to find free or reduced-price admission to arts and cultural events in your area, sponsored by Target.

The Home Depot – Saturday, November 28th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., kids can make a School House Bank. All kid get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last

Toys R Us – Saturday, November 14th, Star Wars Epic Building Event.  Build and take home an exclusive FREE mini Star Wars X-Wing Starfighter.

Williams Sonoma Free Cooking Classes – This has been on my bucket list for a long time because I think my daughter would LOVE it! You do have to register in advance, but they’ve got the schedule posted for the whole month!

Check to see if there is a CityPASS available in your area! See some of your city’s most popular attractions this long weekend for a fraction of the price! We have purchased our local CityPASS several times and LOVE IT!
