Looking for some free family fun this weekend? Here is a round up of free activities and events. It’s always a good idea to check with your local store before going to make sure that they are participating (especially if you’ve got a drive).
Here are the free activities for the week:
American Girl – Isabelle’s Funky Fashion Headpiece Craft. Your girl’s fun, funky style can shine, just like Isabelle—our newest Girl of the Year! During this free event, your girl can craft a decorative hair accessory for her doll. She can jazz up her doll’s flair like Isabelle does with her own dance costumes! Free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.
Apple Stores – Check your local store for weekly workshops and youth programs
Bank of America’s Museums on Us – Saturday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 4th (and the first full weekend of every month), Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders can get free access to more than 150 participating museums in 91 cities. Photo ID and a valid Bank of America/Merrill Lynch credit or debit card must be presented at the time of visit. One free general admission limited to each cardholder at a participating institution, excluding fundraising events, special exhibitions and ticketed shows the first full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) of each month. Disney Store – Saturday, May 4th, Star Wars Event. The first 100 guests to visit Disney Store on May 4th will start their epic adventure with a FREE Star Wars Pin. Plus, younglings are invited to learn the Ways of the Force at 12:30pm. Call your local store for more details. Must be 3 years of age for pin giveaway, while supplies last. Minimum age for event participation is 3 years.
Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores – Free demos every Saturday, check your store here for more details.
Lakeshore Learning – Saturday, April 26th from 11-3 pm, kids can make a Thank the Teacher! Schoolhouse Craft.
Lowes Build and Grow – There is no class this week. The next class will be on Saturday, May 10th at 10 a.m. Kids can make a Flower Delivery Truck. Register for this class as well as other future classes here.
Microsoft Stores – Check your local store for classes and special events for the whole family.
Pottery Barn Kids -Tuesday’s from 11-11:30 a.m., Story Time.
Target – select a city to find free or reduced-price admission to arts and cultural events in your area, sponsored by Target.
Toys R Us – Saturday, May 3rd from 12-2 p.m., LEGO Star Wars Building Event
The Home Depot – Saturday, May 2nd from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. kids can build a flower planter. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Register for this class as well as other future classes here.
