Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive TODAY!

Screen Shot 2013-05-11 at 6.06.35 AMDid you know that 1 in 6 Americans are facing hunger each day?  You can help out today by participating in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive!

Here’s how you can help:

1.  If you received a Stamp Out Hunger paper bag in your mailbox this week, just fill it with non-perishable food items!  If you don’t have the “official” bag, you can still fill a bag with items to donate!

2.  Place your items by your mailbox for your letter carrier to pick up and donate to a local food bank or food pantry!

It’s that easy!  Find out more about this program here–> Stamp out Hunger Food Drive

NOTE:  Please do not donate glass items or items that are already expired.

Abercrombie & Fitch CEO says Fat Chicks aren’t cool or good looking!

abercrombie-fitchThe Abercrombie & Fitch CEO has received a lot of backlash recently after making statements that they don’t carry women’s clothing above size 10 because they want to market their clothing to “cool, good looking people” and apparently in his mind, fat chicks don’t meet that criteria!  Ironically, they do carry men’s clothing in XL and XXL sizes because they want to appeal to “larger athletes.”

See the full article here–> Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Explains Why He Hates Fat Chicks

I’ve struggled with weight issues my entire life and honestly don’t need endorsement from a misguided CEO regarding my social status.  This honestly doesn’t really change my feelings about the company because I’ve never been a fan anyway (even when I WAS skinny and actually could have worn their clothing).  I’ve found it to be boring and overpriced.  He claims that in marketing to the cool, good looking people rather than people of all shapes and sizes, he is making sure things aren’t vanilla.   They’re doing a great job of being vanilla anyway, though, because the styles they carry haven’t changed a whole lot in the past 10 years!

Do you shop at Abercrombie & Fitch?  Do the CEO’s comments change your opinion of the brand?

And in case you’re interested, you can check out a picture of the judgmental CEO here–> Abercrombie & Fitch CEO
