I was recently provided with a $75 gift card to check out HoneyBaked Ham and share how HoneyBaked Ham can bring you a hassle free Easter!  Growing up, my dad would sometimes get gift certificates from work for HoneyBaked Ham around the holidays and I remember how yummy everything was!  This was definitely an opportunity I couldn’t pass up!

Easter is just around the corner.  In addition to taking the time to reflect on and celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, I also enjoy gathering with my family for Easter dinner.  I enjoy cooking, but I’ve been dreading the time I know I would have to spend putting together a big meal and then more time spent on clean-up.  I love that with HoneyBaked Ham, you can enjoy a hassle free Easter without busting your budget!

I’m a bargain hunter, and so I wanted to find a way to get the most with my $75 gift card.  I researched the specials online and found these deals:

  • $54.99 Easter Ham & Turkey Combo – Pair a Turkey Breast (approx. 3 lbs.) with your choice of a Boneless Ham (approx. 3.5 lbs.) or Quarter Ham (approx. 4.5 lbs.)
  • $22.99 Turkey Breast (with any Half or Whole Ham purchase)
  • $24.99 Easter Brunch Bundle – Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake and Honey-Spice Bacon
  • Heat & Share Sides: Two for $13.99, three for $19.99

I opted for the Easter Ham & Turkey Combo and I purchased 3 Heat & Share Sides to go with it.  There is always a HoneyBaked Ham Express location that opens up in my area for the holidays, but it hadn’t opened yet, so I visited the Houston Memorial location instead.  I called ahead of time to make sure that they had what I wanted in stock, and they did!

When we arrived at our local store, there were freezers on one side of the store filled with the Heat & Share sides.  There were so many options, but we opted for the Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Potatoes Au Gratin, and Spinach Artichoke Dip.  They also had dessert options and it was SO hard to pass up the cheesecake sampler (I LOVE cheesecake) and the Creamy Deluxe Carrot Cake.  I was determined to stick with the $75 “budget” so I moved on!  The entire process took less than 10 minutes and my total was $74.98!

The preparation was easy, too!  We opted to have the turkey for our Sunday family dinner this week and we decided to save the ham for our Easter dinner.  Since the meat is pre-cooked, you only have to re-heat it!  For the turkey, that meant just 30 minutes in the oven!  The sides can all be heated in the microwave and take about 10 minutes to cook.  It doesn’t get any better than that!

The turkey comes pre-sliced, which is a HUGE life saver!  The glaze is SO good!  My daughter said it was “the best turkey she’s ever tasted!”  If you’ve got kids, you know that says a lot!  The sides were delicious, too.  I put them in serving dishes, and honestly, you couldn’t tell that they hadn’t been home-cooked!  We all decided this is the way to go in the future!  Only about 35 minutes of “prep” time and clean up was FAST!  The cost, when you compare it with similar meals that are offered through grocery stores for the holidays, is comparable, but this is SO MUCH BETTER! (trust me, I’ve tried both)
