Spring Craft: Plastic Egg Snakes!

Have you ever wondered what to do with all thos left over plastic Eggs from Easter?  My kids always insist on keeping the eggs, but then I spend the next several weeks picking-up egg pieces that have been “re-hidden” and then forgotten all over my house.  These plastic egg  snakes are a great solution.  My kids get to keep thier eggs to play with, but I am not picking them up and going crazy.  It is a win win situation!  Thanks Cafe Mom!

Here’s what you need to make these:

  • 15-20 Plastic Egg Bottoms
  • 2 Whole Plastic Eggs
  • Drill
  • Yarn or String
  • Permanent Marker
  • A Few Dried Beans
  • Tape

Easter Craft: Boo-Boo Bunnies and Chicks!

I have very fond memories of making the boo-boo bunnies as a child!  The chicks are new to me but still oh so very cute!  Both are the perfect size for placing an Easter egg in for Easter morning and then later on a piece of ice can be placed in them to help soothe all those bumps and boo-boos that come with little ones.  Thanks for sharing Own Two Hands!

Here’s what you need to make the bunnies:

– face cloth
– narrow ribbon(s)
– 2 googly eyes
– 2 pompoms (one large for the tail, one smaller for the nose)
– needle and thread to match the face cloth and/or hot glue gun
