The Abercrombie & Fitch CEO has received a lot of backlash recently after making statements that they don’t carry women’s clothing above size 10 because they want to market their clothing to “cool, good looking people” and apparently in his mind, fat chicks don’t meet that criteria! Ironically, they do carry men’s clothing in XL and XXL sizes because they want to appeal to “larger athletes.”

I’ve struggled with weight issues my entire life and honestly don’t need endorsement from a misguided CEO regarding my social status. This honestly doesn’t really change my feelings about the company because I’ve never been a fan anyway (even when I WAS skinny and actually could have worn their clothing). I’ve found it to be boring and overpriced. He claims that in marketing to the cool, good looking people rather than people of all shapes and sizes, he is making sure things aren’t vanilla. They’re doing a great job of being vanilla anyway, though, because the styles they carry haven’t changed a whole lot in the past 10 years!
